we had a quiz with our ethics subject. i reviewed everything our professor discussed, but the quiz we had is a case study and it is a application type.
the instruction was, identify 10 moral/ethical values. describe in not more than 3 words.
i got a low score. actually if our professor did the right computation and he never had a mistake, i will for sure fail that quiz. our quiz is 60% of our class standing. see, it is our 1st quiz and yet i failed. but luckily, our professor used different method so i passed but my score is not something to be proud of.
the quiz is easy, there was no doubt about it. but the instruction is not clear. i got confused about his instruction of "identify 10 moral/ethical issues". my point was why did he used "moral/ethical issues??" what comes into my mind is we should get only the moral issues or the morally good ones. but our professor defined ethics as the study of morally good or bad ones. its confusing to know what to identify??
what i did is listed all the morally good ones. and since there are only few, some of my answers were related to one another and when i didn't have anymore to lists the moral or good ones, i listed some of the amoral which is neither good nor bad and the immoral which is the bad ones.
when our quiz is over, i asked some of my classmates and they do had a hard time understanding the instruction but they did is they lists all the moral, immoral and moral ones they can find from the case just to be sure.
how sad ..
